Hi y’all! We are Shelly and CJ Rivera and we are excited you are here. In the beginning of 2024 we sold most of our stuff in our 3 bedroom home, kept a few items, sold our house and purchased an old RV and hit the road. CJ was an electrician by trade and I was an accounts receivable manager for 5 years and finished up my studies to become a personal trainer. I quit my job at the end of 2021 and purchased a lot of gym equipment and turned our garage into a home gym. I also started working with Uber and Pourtastic, an alcohol sampling company, just to make ends meet. I was struggling to bring in clients so I found Camp Gladiator and love it. I worked with them for over a year and had so much fun.
We were doing very well and come mid 2022 CJ lost his job. But by this time he was already dappling in different things. He had his heart set on growing gourmet mushrooms and creating art. He soon started knapping stone and glass, making wire wrap jewelry and gardening. We decided to open our own little arts and crafts shop and nursery. We were doing very well until we got close to moving and since we had all of our stuff out in our front yard we kept getting plants taking from us, some sentimental and some very expensive.
Fast forward, mid 2023 we were frustrated, tired and low on funds. We knew we had to make a decision on our house and we knew we needed to make a decision about where we would live. Both of us started talking about traveling and living off-grid and just getting away. So, we did it, packed, sold our stuff, sold the house and hit the road.
