HAPPY NEW YEAR’S – Are you ready for the year? Shall we makes some Goals?!
We all here it every year New Year New Me!, I’m making my new years resolutions as we speak!
We all do it and love it. But do you typically get to meet those resolutions, is it really a new you? Do you struggle with figuring out how do I get all those done? Yes, we all do. Walk with me through this month journey into setting goals and sticking with them. Sometimes the key is just making them in to small bite size pieces. Watch my YouTube series on setting goals and how we can meet and exceed them.
As you watch we will go through and break down, what types of goals you may want to set. What is the purpose of the goals and how important are some more than others. We will also get into a great tool that will help keep you on track with your goals. This will be fun and painless, I promise.

It Just Doesn’t Stop
It’s August and we are deep in the “heavy” as my husband says, which is his way of saying it’s Freaking hot out here. We have registered temps as high as 109 so far. Yes, it is almost over but has it taught us so much in the respect of appreciating everything you have but especially that which you don’t.
Yes, we do not have to live like this. Cooking outside in 109 temps, a small A/C in the trailer that cools our bedroom and few resources as far as food goes. And yes, we have money for food but we are trying to learn how to live off grid and off the land and it is work for sure. So, on a funny note one of those high heat days I was trying to do some art work outside. Well this did not go well at all. I was making beaded rings and use an elastic wire to put them together and on this day I keep having trouble with the line. I would bead a row or two and the line would break. I started getting really frustrated and wondering if the line was just getting to worked in or tug on too much. So I figured get a few inches of new line, and to my surprise the line was a little tacky……which I did not understand. I keep looking at it and then looked at my phone for the temperature and it read 103. My line was melting! Needless to say, I ran inside put the line in the fridge to cool down. I did end up finishing the ring a few days later but I had to adjust my schedule to work on these things in the early morning or later in the afternoon in the trailer when it is was cool in there. Check out how I felt as I went through figuring out what was wrong with my beading line.

This is HHR Indigenous Arts
We are finally starting to feel as if we have our feet settled out here. Our company HHR Indigenous Arts is where we started all this. CJ and I would make different types of art work, such as dreamcatchers, stone knives, beaded jewelry and wire wrapped jewelry. We love making all these items and have learned from some of the art work how to practice patience. I know I would have never thought I would have enough patience and the interest to do bead work but I have done a few interesting pieces and I truly enjoy it.
So reach out to us if you have any questions or see something you like. Thank you all for taking interest in who we are and what we do.
Check us out at HHR Indigenous Arts on FB, IG and TikTok.
THIS IS RATHER INTERESTING
We are currently on private property which number one is great! As we work the land here we notice things new week after week and its great. I discovered this interesting happening when we first got here end of March. I took a couple pictures and will take a few new ones. But what I got was pretty cool to say the least. I am just in amazement as to how this happened and how long it took to happen. Just think about the conditions that need to be in place for the shrub to grow through the rock. How the rock was in just the right position for it to thread through the rock. And how it was not heavy enough to weight down this branch. It’s just really cool to me and interesting. There is always something new or interesting or colorful around here and we are so grateful for all of it. Here are the picture I took in March, so cool.

IT’S GETTING HOT OUT HERE
Hello, everyone from Texas! Well no news flash here but it is HOT!! It is end of May, not summer yet and extreme heat advisories are out already, index is hitting 112 where we are. I don’t think you can never really say you are use to it, it’s more like you learn to tolerate it better than others. Living in an RV in this heat is challenging. Some days there is a really good wind, which really doesn’t say much, just helps move the hot air around so you don’t feel like your sitting in a sauna. Oh, did I mention the humidity levels…yeah just adds to the fun. I posted a video on how I was frustrated with the heat, but love Texas! check that video out https://www.tiktok.com/@lunafitevo/video/7374075159281552682?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7364816448286180895.
I’ve said it many times we are grateful for the things we have. We are happy with the life we have chosen. We wake early some days just to catch the sunrise. We wake early just to have coffee and talk. We use our time going around the property to connect and think about the day or the days ahead or ideas we have on improving ourselves and our businesses. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude and joy for one another and all of nature around us.
I truly hope you are true to your heart, your wants, your desires, and don’t be afraid to venture off to accomplish your dreams. To take charge on ideas you have. We only have today, live it with love and compassion. Check out a few of the beautiful wonders we have experienced out here. Share you story with us. Let me hear your dreams and desires.
