NYX – My Nyxie!
So if you read our new first fur baby article you learned our loved German Shepard has passed. Well we started this journey with 4 dogs. 3 different type of Chihuahua mixes and a German Shepard. Two of which we have had for over 6 years now and 2 that were a little newer to the family. Nyx was a very small black Chihuahua. She was very sweet and did not do much of anything other than eat and sleep. I took over her care after my grand daughter was not able to afford to take her to the vet. Nyx had a yeast infection over her entire body and one visit and she was all better. She stayed with us for maybe 3 years. One weekend going into Houston for a vending event we had all the dogs out in my father-in-laws back yard. It was cold out and we did have a heater and blankets for all the dogs. We are still not total sure what happened out there but the next morning we woke up and Nyx was off to one side of the blanket by herself. I know she would get aggressive with the big dog, so we have not clue if something happened or if it was just her time. We did notice that morning when we got to Houston, Nyx was not acting normal. But it did not look like anything serious but we are not vets either. She was still playing and running around and ate well, so there was not too big of a concern at the moment. You honestly really never know what may happen to anyone at any time. So my Nyxie is sleeping now and I love her for being a part of my family. I am grateful for the opportunity.
Check out this quick clip of her, not too sure what she was doing but she loved being in her box.
Xochitl
Well I am unfortunately starting over with my website, long story short we stared this journey with 4 doggos and now we have 2. Yes, it has been very rough dealing with this and it took a toll on us for sure. We especially got very close to our German Shepard that just happen to come into our life. We did not look for her but she was gifted to us and she became a huge part of both of us. She was true to her name, Xochitl, and love being in the flowers and water and running and just having fun. Her passing came quickly and it hurt us to our core. She passed end of March and we had a very hard time with it. But she knows she was truly loved. She comes around now every now and than in the form of a hummingbird. Which she was so curious about animals and just sometimes just watched them. She did every now and then bring home dinner in the form of small animals, since we are on a 30 acre ranch she kinda found her way around and well, we got to eat a few good meals. We now have 2 babies with us, Stuart and Vixen, they are just too bumps on a log. Don’t really do too much other than eat and sleep. But Xochi is truly loved and missed. Here is a quick memorial video I did for her, hope you enjoy it.
