I CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD
Workouts on the road, extremely hot outside. Today was leg day and my knees are actually very good today. Here is what I did today.
- Elevated Squats
- RDL
- Squat
- Forward Static Lunge Left then Right
- Sumo Deadlift
- Lateral Lunge Left then Right
- Curtsy Lunge Left then Right
I have always had an issue with keeping my feet planted. I have a bigger challenge out here with this ground, rocks, dirt, and critters. If you have any questions or want to workout along with me, send me an email and I will be happy to answer questions.

I need to keep going
You know I really don’t like the word “need” but it is the most relevant term today. The word need means expressing necessity or obligation. Right now, it is necessary that I keep moving. I am now 50 years old, the unfortunate life expectancy of my families is usually around 70 – 75 years. I plan on being here as long as I can. I have kids I need to see keep growing, I have grandchildren that I want to keep teaching. So with that, the word “need” is correct right now.
For today, Tuesday, I am pushing a little harder. I still don’t feel like I’m doing enough but between the heat and a lot of stiffness I am feeling in my body, it’s difficult. I need to keep pushing myself everyday just a little more. It was a push day and here is what was on my plate.
Check out my YouTube channel and click on my short video for Push Day to see what I did. www.youtube.com/@michelleluna3102
- Half Kneeling Shoulder Press Right
- Diamond Press
- Half Kneeling Shoulder Press Left
- Isolated Chest Press
- Push Up
- Shoulder Taps
- Arnold Press
- Pec Raise
- Bentover Rear Delt
I worked for 30 seconds on with a minute rest. I am needing a little more rest than usually. I did 2 sets, truly struggled with the second set, but the heat was rising. I should have started my workout a little earlier but I could not go without doing it today, so I pushed through. If you have any questions or want to workout along with me, send me an email and I will be happy to answer questions.

Tuesday Get Right!
It’s been taking some time to get use to workout here. There is not really any flat land and you always have to check for critters on the ground. For the most part, I’m getting things done. My workout on this day was a little all over the place. I’m going to start going back to my PPL days, Push, Pull and Legs. I run the 3 day cycle and add in focus days along the way. For example if a leg day falls on a Friday, I will do a more glute focused workout. I was doing heavy glutes on Fridays. I am a certified glute specialist so I try to program glutes in on a regular basis.
For this workout I did a total of 7 different exercises, 12 reps and 2 sets. Here is the list of what I did.
- Chest Press
- Chest Fly
- Overhead Press w/twist
- Lateral arm raises
- Front raise
- Overhead Tricep Pullovers
- Arm Kickbacks
I’m moving slow but I am moving. Follow me as I post more workouts that I am doing out here on the ranch. I’m trying my best to get up early to get these workouts done. There is not a lot of shade near our trailer so if I can get up before the sun starts really hitting us I should be ok. Go to my YouTube Channel to see what I did on this day. Before you start any exercise routine, please speak with your physician. Have fun. Got questions please contact me and let’s talk. https://lunafitnessevolution.issacertifiedtrainer.com/

Stretch or not to Stretch? That is the Question…
So I have always stretched before I start any workout. There is new information out there about not streching and why you shouldn’t. This actually applies more to those who powerlift or heavy lifters. If they are going to constantly push their max effort each time they workout, a full on streching routine would expend more energy hamper their ability to push their max efforts to lift heavy. But there should be some sort of recovery and warm-up at any level. And to this point, I am not an expert at all, this information is coming from numerous articles I’ve seen on the internet.
I am a certified trainer and my personal experience is, I stretch before any workout. Streching is not only helping with warming up your body, it is a time to pay attention and be aware of your body and what you may be feeling. Pay attention to areas that are tighter than others. These are the areas to thinking about adding in another step to your warm-up streching. You may want to think about trying foam rollers and different types of recovery tools. Using foam rollers, cork balls and wands all help in massaging out tension and relaxing muscles to get your body ready for workouts or aids in rest and recovery times. Staying Fit on the Road…What a Challenge!
Working out is a task for sure. This requires motivation, commitment and consistency. I am a trainer and it is very hard for me to workout as consistently as I need to and should be. And on the road, well it becomes even more of a challenge. I thought I’d share a video showing my gym bag and what all I brought along with me to keep on top of my health and fitness. Share with me how you are staying fit and healthy.
I do miss my home gym set-up!
